About Me

I have moved constantly all through out my life. I guess I am the average modern nomad. I did not move from one neighborhood to another but from one culture and country to another.

At the age of three, my family moved away from our home country, the Philippines, to be missionaries in Phitsanulok, Thailand. On our first year, I was home schooled by my parents. My parents were tent-makers, which are self-supporting missionaries who used their profession as a means of funding our ministries. For the next 6 years, I dove deep into Thai culture as I attended Thai school. I learned how to read, write, speak and comprehend the language.

On our sixth year, my parents wanted to take a break from mission work and we were able to move to Newport News, Virginia. There, my dad taught in a local high school while my sister and I attended public school. My mom was a wonderful house wife.
I was placed in the ESL (English as a Second Language) program because of my insufficient English. For the next three years, I had to learn a new language. I attended River Side Elementary school until my family decided to move back to Thailand for mission work again.

During the beginning of my teenage years, we moved back to a city in northern Thailand called Chiang Mai. I attended Chiang Mai International School with a class of 44. During my high school years, I was involved in a lot of groups like Student Council, the  varsity basketball team and theater. I LOVE it there. Everything is cheap and close to each other.

I graduated from Crown College with a Bachelor’s in Social Studies Education on May 16th. 1 (167 of 200)

Currently, I am in Hsinchu, Taiwan. I am a teacher at a Pacific American School. I don’t know how it will be but I am here for another two years.

I am writing this blog so I can expand my horizon, keep in touch with my family and friends and as a hobby. I hope you enjoyed reading my testimony and I hope you are curious enough about the stories I have to share to follow my adventures.
